Squad Manager 2005: New!

Description of the game

The way to success is not easy, ability must be shown in managing the mass of information that the game makes available.

In the shoes of the football manager, the user must lead his team managing the financial resources of the club in an intelligent and prudent manner and involving himself in the technical and tactical aspects of the short-list that is at his disposal.

However if you choose to play in the SuperLega mode it is possible for up to 8 users to play at the same time. Each player will be able to create the team of his dreams and to compete in a championship composed of dream teams made up of the greatest footballers led by the strongest managers in the world and to take up the challenge straight away!

Every footballer on the data base is described realistically with a series of parameters used by the simulation.

As well as the parameters of the game, thanks to the Panini data base, it is possible to consult the personal details, the historic curriculum, and an editorial file for the individual footballers.

All the data in the game is updated for the current season, for example how the Game Density Graphic will evolve. This interesting graphic shows the percentage activity for each player in the different parts of the field.

Every manager who aspires to victory must learn to understand his team, to find the training methods that are best suited to the athletes at his disposal, always bearing in mind that the players will react realistically to the external stimuli. If you engage an athletics coach, the management of the training can take place automatically. It will therefore be up to your assistant to decide on the most appropriate work-loads and to keep your players in perfect form. It will still however be up to you to manage the short-list well resorting to turn over if a player is in need of a rest.

Training that is too severe, financial management that is inadequate, or a prolonged exclusion from the title race will tend to generate discontent in the dressing room and will risk compromising the results of an entire season.

In the course of the simulation of the match an exhaustive reconstruction of the game can be seen accompanied by the commentary.

Squad Manager 2005 offers the possibility of following the reconstruction of the matches in two modes:

  • Stadium Environment (3D simulation): the stadia are constructed so as to offer a visual comparison of the public knowledge and attendance, as well as environmental and climactic conditions, which can vary according to the geographic area and the time of the year in which the match is taking place. The simulator registers every significant event and the part of the field where the action is taking place, providing the user with a lot of information that a good manager is required to consider during a match.
  • Statistics Simulator (2D simulation): this mode gives priority to information of a statistical nature on the progress of the match. Updated in real time, a wide range of statistics information is provided on the players on the field, a graphic shows the positioning of each team, and the significant actions of the match are reconstructed in 2D to one side (naturally always accompanied by the commentary).

At the end of each match a wide range of summary information is offered including the Shots on Target Graphic, a simple and intuitive page that shows on two stylised fields and goals, the exact point at which shots on target were made by both the formations, and the point of the goal that the ball hit.
